LEED
LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) has become the national and the global standard for what constitutes a “green building”. The documentation process may be challenging due to specific data inputs, specific submittal documentation requirements, formatting of policy statements, and general technical expertise required for managing and certifying a project.
The LEED® documentation process is very involved and requires strict attention to detail. Often organizations may not possess the experience with managing LEED® documentation or they may find that internal staff becomes quickly inundated as they attempt to manage one or more LEED® projects while trying to complete other job duties.
Our goal is to free up your staff’s valuable time and to successfully manage your LEED® documentation process from conception to certification.
Certification Procedures:
Design/Feasibility Meeting
We meet with the project managers to outline which LEED credits will be pursued and set a certification level based on the project’s budget.
Team Kick-Off Meeting
A one day Eco-Charrette will occur where the entire project team collaborates to outline goals and strategies for sustainable, integrated design. The pursued credits will be identified and team members will be assigned credits for completion.
Organizing the Process
A tracking sheet with critical project information will be created to help keep your project moving forward. Each team member will receive a personalized set of submittal instructions and documentation requirements that will be uploaded or emailed to the project leader.
Online Content Management
We practice what we preach. Our paperless submittal system will give you the option to submit through our online project management site where you can view, edit, and upload critical project documentation. This tool can also serve as an online and secure data warehouse for your LEED® documentation. Alternatively, we can provide personalized project folders and/or you can mail your submittal documentation directly to us.

Assistance
Challenges may arise on your path to certification, or you may have questions during the certification process. This is why your LEED ® Accredited Professional Project Management team will be there to offer expertise and guide you through any roadblocks.
Representative with USGBC
The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has its own submittal processes, requirements and updated credit ruling interpretations (CIRs), which are amendments or clarification to the credits. We will register your project, interface with USGBC and ensure your project adheres to the new rulings issued by USGBC: We will be your direct representative with the USGBC throughout the entire process.
